When WAS UK – manufacturer of specialist and Ambulance vehicles – approached us with a large livery contract for NHS vehicles, we had an opportunity to fix a problem they just couldn’t tolerate any longer. Having heard about the obstacles they were facing, we made it our priority to find a solution for their sticky situation!

This particular WAS fleet livery contract involved a large amount of mixed purpose vehicles – mass casualty, personnel, welfare and logistics. The required livery included external reflective and fluorescent safety markings, plus internal decals with a mix of printed and CAD cut elements.
Some of the vehicles had shutter systems that were causing problems for the team at WAS. Historically, the Incident Response Unit text on the shutters had been applied and then cut between the shutter slats by hand during application. This opened up all sorts of possibilities for problems post application and WAS were looking for a solution that would be quicker to fit and more durable.

Our templating team took exact tracings of the vehicle and the shutters, which then enabled us to create accurate vehicle livery and text elements to fit the vehicles perfectly. The shutter lettering was then supplied pre-cut and pre-positioned on application tape so that the vehicle livery fitting teams could apply it straight to the roller shutters, without the need for any hand cutting or trimming on site.

If you need bespoke vehicle livery – whatever your vehicle – our team are here to help. There really isn’t a type of vehicle or livery challenge that we haven’t been able to overcome!
